The Eibenberg is a significant ridge southern of the lake Traunsee.

Drive by car from the House Grabler, Altmünster, in half an hour to Ebensee and then towards the lake Offensee
Park the car 7 km past the junction from the main road and begin the way up directly by the bridge (630 m)
In the beginning the way leads up speedy through the wood in serpentines
Past the hunting lodge Hiaslalm (1074 m) the area begins to be more open and steeper
Soon you'll reach the Eibenbergschneid - an about one and a half kilometres long but relatively wide ridge
Now walk plain the last metres to the summit (1598 m) and enjoy the splendid view (about 3 hours from the car)
Way down like way up There are still other paths up this mountain, but they're considerably longer and not so attractive
