is the mountain hut
Hofpürglhütte (1705 m)
southern of the Gosaukamm

 

There are more
possibilities to reach
this hut

 

From the lake vorderer
Gosausee

(1 hour by car from Altmünster)
either via the alpine pasture
Zwieselalm or the Stuhlalm . . .

 

. . . or take the left route
via the alpine pasture Schwarwandalm
and the Steiglpaß
walking time: about 4 - 5 hours
for each variant

 

The starting point
with the shortest path up
to the mountain hut Hofpürglhütte
(one and a half hour) is the
Oberhofalm
(1300 m) at Filzmoos

 
For the tour to the mountain
you should plan
between 3 and 4 hours from the hut
depending on the climbing route
 

As there have been
enormous rockslides
from the Bischofmütze
during the last descents
it's advisable to get a
guide who knows his way around

 
The view from the summit
is an
unforgettable
experience
