Drive by car from the
House Grabler, Altmünster,
in approx. 45 minutes to Grünau im Almtal

In the middle of the village
the road divides to
two different valleys

Follow the road to the left
and drive approx. 3 km
to the inn
„Enzenbachmühle“

Park your car,
pass the inn and walk
up the forest on the left side

From the inn Enzenbachmühle to the Windhag

After an altitude difference
of about 150 metres
you'll reach a little
rock with a great view

Rock with a great view on the way to the  Windhag

Move on uphill
past the
hunting hut

Through the timber forest to the Windhag

A hunting hut on the way to the summit

Finally you'll reach
a saddle-like hill
and now walk up
the last part on the
right side to the
summit with the great view

Immediately beneath the summit of the  Windhag

All together the difference
in the altitude is
approx. 800 metres, for
which you'll need about 3 hours
 
Way down like way up

Break at the summit of the  Windhag

Not so high,
but also worthwhile
is a walk over the
„Glöckerlweg“.

Walk along the Glöckerlweg

From the above mentioned
rock, with the
great view. . .

View of the valley from the rock

. . . walk through the valley
westwards (approx. 150
to 200 metres
difference in altitude)
and reach after
1,5 hour the village Grünau

Through the timber forest westwards to Grünau

Walk back to the car along
the stream Grünaubach.
The „Glöckerlweg“
is also recommended
the other way round
