Destination: The Hacklberg is a hill with a soft crest, 700 to 800 metres high
at the foothills of the Alps between the valleys of the rivers Laudach and Alm.

You can drive by car directly to the inn „Schöberlbauer“ , situated exposed on the Hacklberg . . .
. . . via the Almtal-village Viechtwang and than go for as long walks as you like on the crest
The shady garden, where you can enjoy the great view, and the game enclosures . . .
. . . with the red deer and fellow deer as well as mufflons have, especially on sonny days, a special flair
Friends of nature -as well as families with children or seniors - enjoy the possibility of walks between 20 minutes and 30 hours most
The longer tour begins at the inn "Kranichsteg" besides the river Laudach (5 km from Gmunden) and leads slowly up the St. Konrader "Riedln"
The path leads now comfortably up the flat crest to the inn "Schöberlbaer"
Way back variants along the St. Konrader "sunside" are recommended
The path leads partly through forests and meadows
You can often enjoy the view of St. Konrad, and the valley Almtal . . .
