Summer in the Salzkammergut
Driving the cattle to the alpine pastures:In the beginning of summer the farmers walk with the cattle up to the higher alpine pastures.
Kermis: during summer are many Kermis in the Salzkammergut.
Gamsbartolympiade: in Bad Goisern
Pfeifertag: special concert, 15. august on an alpine pasture in the Salzkammergut they make music with the seitelwhistle, the Schwegelwhistle and the jew's-harp. The traditionel songs are mostly very old (before 1800).
Emperors celebration: on 15. august in Bad Ischl - birthday of the Emperor Franz Joseph (18.8.1830)
Ruabnfeldln: every year in Gössl Kids are baking fresh potatoes on the bonfire and give them with tea to visitors and neighbours.
